HELP LOCAL HOMELESS PEOPLE

Everything donated to Trust in Fife - whether it’s money, time or unwanted goods to sell in our charity shop - directly supports local homeless and vulnerable people.

Our aim is to help our clients secure and sustain permanent housing in our area. Thanks to your donations, hundreds of people have come off, and stayed off, Fife’s homeless register.

Financial donations help clients with emergency needs and long-term aims.

Your money helps us fund workshops to help teach clients vital skills needed for successful independent living.

With donations of £50, we can supply a starter pack for a homeless family. Buying clothes for client interviews or work is possible with £25. Starter packs for single people or couples cost £30, and donations of £20 or £10 enable us to buy food vouchers or toiletries for clients.

Nothing you give Trust in Fife goes to waste. Unwanted household goods are used in training sessions to show our clients how damaged or old items can be up-cycled. Better quality goods are sold in The Cairn Centre charity shop in Kirkcaldy or included in starter packs made available to homeless people.

You can make free donations each time you shop online by joining easyfundraising.co.uk. It won’t cost you a penny extra. Online shopping through easyfundraising means one of the scheme’s 3,251 shops give us a commission for your purchase, which is turned in to a donation.

Giving your time is just as valuable to Trust in Fife. We believe our clients benefit greatly from the knowledge, skills and experience of volunteers. Our charity shop could not stay open without voluntary help not just in our stores, but running our delivery service.

Supporters find incredibly imaginative ways to fundraise for Trust in Fife, from enduring Tough Mudder courses to delighting audiences with choir singing. Our news page is constantly updated with reports on our donations and fundraisers. You can donate free and instantly online, by following the Kindlink link.

All your generosity greatly helps and we can’t thank you enough.

Volunteer stories

“When my life turned upside down, Trust in Fife gave me a safety net. As well as a warm place to stay, they helped me find my feet when my life deteriorated and were a listening ear when I felt isolated. I lost my house in December 2016 after a mental breakdown. I made sure my son and daughter were well looked after by their dad and I sofa-surfed for months. But relationships suffer when you impose on friends and family. So I registered as homeless with Fife Council and was linked up with Trust in Fife.....”
